Editing À La Carte
No bundles you don't need. Pick the round—or the combination of rounds—that fits where your draft is right now.
How Editing Works With Ri
All editing follows the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS)—the standard style guide for fiction and trade publishing—unless we agree on a different house style up front.
Rates below are quoted per word based on your manuscript's total word count. A flat quote is provided before any work begins, and that quote's rate is honored for six months.

Which edit is right for you?
Developmental Editing
Best for early drafts. Looks at plot, structure, pacing, and character arcs before the sentence-level work begins.
Line Editing
Focuses on how your writing sounds—sentence flow, voice, word choice, and rhythm.

Copy Editing
Grammar, punctuation, spelling, and consistency—the technical polish. Most manuscripts benefit from more than one round.

Proofreading
The last look before publication or submission, catching what earlier rounds may have missed.
Manuscript Evaluation
A big-picture editorial letter without in-line edits. This is useful if you want direction before committing to a full edit.
